Day 4 Goodbye London, Hello Paris!

It was our last morning in London, and we hadn't yet had an English breakfast, so of course we got one. John had a meeting in the morning, so Dave was left to fend for the bags on the street, as they kicked us out of the room we were staying promptly at 11am ! He played guitar and had lots of fun.

We went back to our favorite guitar shop and went through a couple of our favorites one more time...David is shown holding his favorite in the picture below.

Before leaving London, we wanted to take one last stop at Regents Park , so we rested and read. It was a beautiful day, so this was a great way to spend it.

Finally, around five we headed to the train station, which was beautiful, and got on board a train headed for Paris. The train ride was beautiful, and we went under the English Channel.  There we met Fiona, the lady who was serving refreshments on the train.  We struck up some conversation,  and she gave us some champagne to celebrate David's graduation!

After figuring out the Paris subway, we arrived to our bnb. It is a very old house with a lot of character, and in the middle of the main room was a grand piano. The people we are staying with here are lovely, and listening to them try to speak in English is hilarious.  We ended up playing some songs on piano and guitar. We then found out that the gentleman who lives here is a very good classical guitar player, and he played a number of awesome tunes for us.

It is past midnight now, and we need to get a full day of biking Paris tomorrow......so..aurevoir!
